United States of America. Louisiana Purchase Exposition, St. Louis, 1904, a plated bronze plaque by A.A. Weinman, two standing figures, reverse features an eagle with wings outstretched standing on tablet, two dolphins below, commemorative medal. In original Universal Exposition 1904 Saint Louis box. This medal was gifted to Rookes Evelyn Bell Crompton (1845-1940, pictured) who attended attended the St. Louis exhibition. Crompton was a British electrical engineer, industrialist and inventor. He was a pioneer of electric lighting and public electricity supply systems. 70mm.
