John Maltby (British, 1936-2020) Seated mother holding a baby, painted stoneware sculptural work, figure mounted to integral plinth base, signed ‘John Maltby’ to base with impressed seal ‘M’ mark to reverse. Height 25cm. Brought up in Cleethorpes John Maltby was a distinguished English sculptor and potter and has exhibited his work worldwide.
