Danger ahead! - Second World War German airborne Propaganda leaflet. Front depicts a lie ring above the words “ Danger ahead! “, reverse reads “ A life belt is something secure to cling to”. It goes onto to offer the four options to escape the front line; “1. A SOFT JOB behind the lines. Only a few lucky birds can get it. 2. ACCIDENTAL SHOT (self-inflicted). Rather a dangerous method to get out of the firing line. 3. ILLNESS. There are many diseases that can be had free of charge in sunny Italy. 4. CAPTIVITY. Not dishonourable. Can happen to anybody.
