William McAllister Turner (1901-1976) – Pair of black ink etching prints on paper relating to Chester, ‘Chester Cross’ (showing Bridge Street) and ‘The Steps Watergate St. Chester’ both signed under the etching and dated 1930, both framed. Supposedly exhibited at the Autumn Exhibition of Modern Art held at the Walker Gallery in Chester in 1930. William McAllister Turner was a painter, printmaker, restorer and cartoonist, born in Mold, Flintshire, he attended Chester School of Art and then Liverpool School of Art. Turner exhibited a number of times and a retrospective was held in Mold for him in 1970-71. 12.5cm x 19.5cm (both).
