John Watts Young (1930-2018) – American Astronaut, Commander of the Apollo XVI mission (1972). The Ninth man to walk on the Moon. Apollo 16 astronaut John Young signed large format colour photograph signed in silver marker “John Young Apollo 16”. Official Nasa image taken by Charles M.Duke of Young performing a jumping salute next to the American flag after Duke asked him to give him a “Navy Salute”. Without Certificate of Authenticity, however provenance places it in the same collection as all of the other pieces in this sale that have their certificates. Framed and glazed. 49.5cm x 39.5cm.
