Second World War - Charles Woodley - 1939-1945 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal, BWM and QEII Fire Brigade Long Service Medal, the last named to Sub.Offr Charles F. Woodley very fine to extremely fine, swing mounted as worn. With WW2 Combined Records box of issue addressed to Mr C. Woodley, 265 Bordesley Grenn, Birmingham with transmittal slip confirming issue of five medals (but not which ones).
With Regular Army Certificate of Service (red book), Charles Frederick Woodley was born in 1914, enlisted in Royal Artillery 23 Feb 1932, served in Middle East 1/8/41 to 26/1/42, then in India until 30/9/42, Iraq until 20/3/43, rest of the war with M.E.F., the 3 stars confirmed in red book, discharged 16/3/46.
Also with original 1953 boxed Birmingham Fire & Ambulance AE commemorative medal, 3 Army certificates of education, RA life membership certificate, photo in RA uniform, group photo in front of a fore station etc.
