Eugène Delâtre (French, 1864-1938), ‘Marcel à la Cigarette’, colour aquatint etching on paper. ‘Marcel with a Cigarette; Signed in blue crayon to lower right. Monogrammed in the print. Eugène Delâtre was born in Paris in 1864, he was introduced to printmaking techniques in his father's printing press. His training was completed by an apprenticeship in drawing and watercolour with John Lewis Brown. His work as an engraver was the subject of several exhibitions and publications during his lifetime. 39cm x 32.5cm.
