GOFFE & SONS BIRMINGHAM EMERALD GREEN CODD. A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional example of one of the rarest mineral water bottles in the UK. The Emerald Green colour is stunning as is the condition of the bottle. Embossed GOFFE & SONS BIRMINGHAM to the front of the bottle with the distinctive crossed bottles pictorial trade mark. E BREFFIT & Co MAKERS CASTLEFORD embossed on the rear base of bottle, the numbers 6355 embossed on the base. The bottle was purchased by the owner in the early 1970s from a local antique fair, what a find. A Cobalt version of this bottle was recently sold for £33000, Cobalt is considered to be the most desirable colour but I believe the Emerald Green version to be scarcer. It is difficult to find fault with this example, I consider it to be about mint. The bottle is 7 inches tall. Beautiful example of a stunning bottle, not to be missed.
